Medieval, Celtic, Viking, Norse, LARP, Cosplay, Re-enactor’s. Attractive Lady’s Hip Pouch or Purse or Pungr and in Gaelic: Spa’ran. This beautifully crafted Pouch was designed to ‘hang’ on a long belt, wrapped around your body, just above your hips. There were no Pockets in Medieval clothing and so small coin purses or posi were very necessary. These larger Pouches were designed to hold a myriad of small belongings, which were necessary if you were to be away from your home during the day.
The Pouch measures approx 7ins.(17.5cm) in height. 6.75ins(17cm) wide and 2ins (5cm) in depth. They are hand stitched all round and have an attractive bronze ‘swing lever’ type ‘latch’, to secure the opening flap. Ideal gifts for Re-enactors of various historic periods.
